tithe is one tenth (10%)of your income, and it should be given to God faithfully. Tithing honours the Scriptural principles of generously providing for religious leaders, giving to those in need, and laying up treasures in heaven.

Question being asked about tithing

1.       Can I withhold my tithe because I see that my pastors or the authorities of the mission are not reliable and corrupt; or even my pastor offended me?

No remember that god is the owner of all tithes. Therefore, the tithe you pay is not unto man but unto god. Two wrong things cannot make a right just do that which is in your hand and god will bless you only God can judge his church  

2.       Can I delay and pay my tithe anytime I like?

It is often say that delay is very dangerous. Some other pressing needs may affect your paying, if you fail do so promptly. Delay in giving in giving to God what is due to him may invariably delay you’re the receipt of your Own blessing from god (proverb 3 vs 27-28)

3.       As a student, Am I supposed to pay tithe?

Yes! Students are not exempted from tithing. Student should tithe there tithe their pocket money and moneys dashed to them by their relations, Friends and well wishers.do not forget that it is god that touch the heart of those people that gave you the money (John 3 vs 27)

 However, student should not tithe their school fees or monies marked for the purchase of book or handout

               

A.      Similarly, house-wives should not tithe the money given for the purchase of food items for the families

B.      No one is accepted to tithe from money borrowed for investment. But if there is surplus left after investing the principal sum, that surplus should be tithe because it is an increase to the investor

C.      Note also that all the prayer theme that take offering, as well as well men fellowship, youth fellowship e.tc in which offering is involved should be tithed.   

Why ia God interested in our tithe

God is our business partner. And every business partner expects dividends at the end of the week, or month, or year. God is also the one that teaches us to make profit in business. (Isiah 48 vs 17)

What should be our attitude when tithing

a.       We should give to God faithfully, knowing fully well that we cannot cheat him his sees all things and knows all things,

b.       We should also give to God cheerfully (2cor 9 vs 7)

If I sold my property e.g piece of land for one million dollars and made expenses to land agents and other matters related to the land in the tune of hundred thousand dollars, leaving me a balance of Nine hundred thousand dollars, will my tithe be on the initial of one million dollar or the balance of nine hundred thousand dollars?

 Since you made expense to the land agent to the land agents etc. your increase is the balance of nine hundred thousand dollars, and as such your tithe is ninety thousand dollars.

c.       But if you sell the land for one million dollars and made expenses that are not related to the land e.g payment of house rent, school fees, food items etc all to the value of hundred thousand dollar leaving you a balance of nine hundred thousand dollars, because your expense are not related to the land your tithe would be hundred thousand dollars

Suppose my business is to sell articles or cars, or clothing or parts. What would be my tithe after each sell?

Remember that we tithe our increase if you sell such increase as mentioned above, all you need is to remove your capital from the money paid to you. What now left is your gain i.e your increase then give one tenth 1/10 of it to as tithe.
